I wear waders almost every day and have tried almost every make. Finally Hodgman has come up with the wader of my choice that is perfect for the Water Strider. A full waterproof zipper in front. What a pleasure to be able to be way out in a place and be able to relive one's self. Also on a hot day being able to zip the front of the wader down is so comfortable. Working in a seated position and with fins on the extra wear points are well covered. Extra layers on the seat and the knee area will give long life. These are a must for any Kickboat angler.

When you wear Wading Shoes all day, support and comfort is a MUST. Hodgman Wadelite Wading shoes are perfect. Very light, strong toe and heal area. High top with speed laces and great felt soles. I found that you have to re-lace the Wading Shoe to make it easier and quicker to put on and remove. Just reverse the lace and it will be perfect. |

I find that in the Winter, Spring and Fall having a comfortable full fleece under garment is a must. Stearns Superstreatch Fleece under wader wear sleeveless fleece john will do the job. It has great stretch and wonderful protection in the kidney area. Breathable waders can be worn all year with the superstreatch fleece john's. Don't ever wear cotton non-streath pants under your waders. If you do it is a great way to ruin a fun day floating.

A good tough breathable wading jacket is a must. The Hodgman Guidelite Wading Jacket with the Riri waterproof zipper is the one to have along. Lots of pockets are such a help. Most zipper fronts leak and this one doesn't. This is my pick for great comfort and protection through out the year.

There is nothing nicer after a long float than a good shower. Our 5 gallon SunShower does the job. I fill it half full of water and then heat up the Kelly Kettle and add some hot water and WOW what a great feeling to slip into the tent and sleeping bag clean and relaxed for a good sleep.
